Definition Of Noun Clause And Example

A noun clause does the work of a noun in a sentence or phrase. It is a group of words containing a subject and a finite verb of its own .
Some rules : Noun clauses usually begin with words , why , what , where , when , who, that , which , whose , whwther , etc. Also words like whoeverm whenever, and whatever
There are therefore just have three basic of noun clauses : 
  • Those that start with a question word such as where, how, who, when, and why
  • Those that start with whether, whatever etc or if
  • Those start with that 
Example of the Noun Clause : 
1. Subject of the sentence:

    What he gets makes his family proud

2. Direct object

    I know where her house is

3. Indirect object:

   The President will give whatever the Indonesia National Football Team gets an appreciation

4. Subjective Complement

   That is what you want

5. Objective complement:

    They will name their dog whatever they want to

6. Object of a prepositions:

    The old lady cried for whatever his husband did

7. Appositive
    John, whom i met yesterday, will be my new business partner

8. Object of a participle

    Remembering what she promised, I tried to be better

9. Object of an infinitive

    They requested me to notice what they spoke

10. Object of a gerund

    Rejecting what he wants makes me unhappy

Conditional Sentence

CONDITIONAL SENTENCE
Type 1 : 
       Conditional sentence : Type I refer to the future. An action in the future will only happen if a certain condition is fulfilled by that time. We don't know for sure whether the condition actually will be fulfilled or not, but the conditions seems rather realistic – so we think it is likely to happen.
 example :  - If John has the money, he will buy a Ferrari
                 - If I find her address, I’ll send her an invitation
Rumus : IF + S + PRESENT TENSE , S + WILL + VERB 1
                                                                          




Type 2 :
       Conditional sentence :  Type II refer to situations in the present. An action could happen if the present situation were different. I don't really expect the situation to change, however. I just imagine „what would happen if …“  
  example : -If i studied i would pass the exams
                   -If i had pair of wings , I would fly high


Rumus : IF + S + VERB 2, S + WOULD + VERB 1


Type 3: 
       Conditional Sentences : Type III refer to situations in the past. An action could have happened in the past if a certain condition had been fulfilled. Things were different then, however. We just imagine, what would have happened if the situation had been fulfilled.
   example : - I would have come to your house If the weather had been fine 
                         - If i had found her address, i would have sent her an invitation 


Rumus   :  IF + S + Past perfect , S + WOULD HAVE  + VERB 1

DEFINISI ADVERBIAL CLAUSE

Definisi Adverbial Clause :  

             
Adverbial clause is a clause that describes an adjective and a nounthat serves as an adverb


Kind of - kind of adverbial clause:  

  1. Adverbclause of reason  
  2. Adverbclause of time 
  3. Adverbclause of place 
  4. Adverbclause of contrast 
  5. Adverbclause of manner
  6. Adverbclause of result  
  7. Adverbclause of condition 
Rumus umum dan contoh adverbial clause :
         Subject + predicet + conj + subject + predicet

             example :
  •  Her goldfish died when she was young
  • If they lose weight during an illness, they soon regain it afterwards.
  • As he was sick , he went to she doctor 
Jenis - jenis adverbial clause : 
  1. Adverbial clause of reason  :
       This Is a clause in order to show cause or reason. Adverb clause of reason at the start with conjunctions (connecting) is: as / since /Because / whereas / on the ground That

    example :
    - i stopped the work because i was tired
    - whereas i came late , my father punisht me
    - his teacher punisht him on the grand that , he came late
  2. Adverbial clause of Time
       Clause which shows the time, usually made ​​by using a conjunction(connecting word) such as after, before, no Sooner, while, as, etc
    example :
    - shut the door before you go out
    - you may begin when (ever) you are ready
    - by the time i arrive , alex will have left
     
  3. Adverbial clause of Place
        Clause which shows the place is usually made ​​using a conjunctionsuch as where, nowhere, anywhere, Wherever, etc..

    example :
    - they sat down wherever they could find empty seats
    - the guard stood where he was positioned
    - where there is poverty, there we find discontent and unrest
  4. Adverbial clause of contrast ( or concession )
        Clause that indicates the existence of a conflict between two eventsor events that are related. usually made ​​by using a conjunction(conjunctions) like. although, though, even though, whereas, even if, inspite of, as the time, etc

    example :
    -As the time you were sleeping, we were working hard.
    -Mary  wanted to stop, whereas i wanted to go on
    -Although it is late, we'll stay a little longer
     
  5. Adverbial clause of manner
       Clause which shows the way how a job is done or event occurs,usually created by using a conjunction (connecting word) such as,how, like, in that, etc..
    example :
    - He did as I told him
    - You may finish it how you like
    - They may beat us again, like they did in 1978
  6. Adverbial clause of Result
      Clause which shows the relationship and the purpose, usually made ​​by using conjunctions such as (in order) that, so that, in the hope that,to the end that, lest, in case. dll.

    example :
    -They went to the movie early ( in order ) to find the best seats
    -She bought a book so ( that ) she could learn english
    -He is saving his money so that he may take a long vacation
     
  7. Adverbial clause of Condition
       Clause which shows the existence of the conditions between the twoevents (events) are related. Usually made ​​by using conjunctions such as if, even if, unless, in the event that, or in the event that, in case,Provided (that), providing (that). on condition that, if only, suppose(that) suppossing (that)
    example :
    - If see him, I will invite him to the party tomorrow
    - She would forgive her husband everything , if only he would come back to her
    -  Suppose (that) your house burns down, do you have enough insurance to cover such       aloss
